How we handle data, in plain language.
Students join a session with a short code — no account, no name, no email. When you answer an interaction (a poll, a word, a written response), it is saved anonymously and linked only to a temporary token for that session, never to you personally. No one — not even your teacher — can see which answer came from which student. Your answers are only ever shown to the class as combined totals or anonymous text.
A teacher account stores your email address and a securely hashed password only. Your journeys, sessions and saved results are linked to your account. You can delete any session's results at any time, and you can permanently delete your account and all associated data from your dashboard.
We do not use advertising trackers. A sign-in token is stored in your browser so you stay logged in.
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data. Teachers can self-serve deletion from the dashboard. For anything else, contact your school's data protection lead.
This is a pilot platform. A full Data Protection Impact Assessment should be completed with your institution's DPO before wider rollout.
